As the World Series of Poker gets closer, so more and more poker sites hold tournaments and satellites with a prize of a seat at the main event. These usually have quite steep entry fees which warn off a lot of competitors, thus leaving a smaller field to compete. This can often lead to an 'overlay'.
Therefore this means that the players are getting terrific value for money. For example at
Poker Share last week 32 players paid $270 each to play for a first prize of a seat at the WSOP, worth $13000 , plus $8000 second prize. Thats $21000 on the table for only£8640.
The prize is massive and to be up against only 31 other players will be the best chance you get to spend your summer in Vegas trying for that multi-million dollar prize.
At another small poker site as well their satellites have been really undersubscribed with the $67.50 one attracting 120 players, while the $135 buy-in one only mustered up around 45 players.
Similarly at
SunPoker they have also struggled to fill up the tournaments for the WSOP.
Both of these sites are great sites, with good bonuses to get you started as well as great software and good support.
Maybe you should move away from Party and UB for a while and see what the smaller sites can do for you.
