New poker site with overlays.

I have spent the last few days playing on a brand new site called Jungle Poker. I came 3rd in a freeroll and so won a bit of a bankroll to test it out with. So far I've been really impressed with the software but the average player count seems to be about 150-300 which is very low.

Unfortunately they don't have any guaranteed tournaments at the moment, but they do have guaranteed WSOP packages every Sunday.

The take up has been very low so far and with the buy in only $100 +$9 for the actual final, plus loads of satellites this is another great chance to get a $10000 seat in the WSOP for next to nothing.

Like I said before though the software is good so it might be worth checking the site out if you want a change. New sites are often good to get in with as they try and keep the players who sign up originally so you often get surprise bonuses.

WSOP Bet365 overlays

Following on from my previous post about WSOP overlays someone has emailed me and told me about Bet365 and their satellites into the World Series of Poker.

They have an amazing Multi-event prize worth $135,000 which includes 60 nights hotel accomadation and entry into as many tourneys as you can make, plus up to $65,000 spending money. Sounds very nice doesn't it?
The entry is $1,100 but there are only 36 entrants as I am writing this. It takes place on May 20th at 22:30 bst .

They also have the following tourneys which may also be undersubscribed.

WSOP Final - $725 buy in - only 15 Entrants - May 27th 22:30pm
WSOP Ladies No limit $760 Buy in - Only 3 entrants - 03 June 22:30pm

They then host an event every week right up to the end of June.

WSOP Overlays

As the World Series of Poker gets closer, so more and more poker sites hold tournaments and satellites with a prize of a seat at the main event. These usually have quite steep entry fees which warn off a lot of competitors, thus leaving a smaller field to compete. This can often lead to an 'overlay'.

Therefore this means that the players are getting terrific value for money. For example at Poker Share last week 32 players paid $270 each to play for a first prize of a seat at the WSOP, worth $13000 , plus $8000 second prize. Thats $21000 on the table for only£8640.

The prize is massive and to be up against only 31 other players will be the best chance you get to spend your summer in Vegas trying for that multi-million dollar prize.
At another small poker site as well their satellites have been really undersubscribed with the $67.50 one attracting 120 players, while the $135 buy-in one only mustered up around 45 players.

Similarly at SunPoker they have also struggled to fill up the tournaments for the WSOP.
Both of these sites are great sites, with good bonuses to get you started as well as great software and good support.
Maybe you should move away from Party and UB for a while and see what the smaller sites can do for you.

Sun Poker

All of these have been heavily undersubscribed so you need to get down there quick to get yourself to the WSOP. See you there!!

What Is An Overlay:

An overlay occurs when a poker room has to add money to the prize pool in a poker tournament.

Suppose a poker room runs a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool tournament. The buy-in is $100+$9, and only 800 players enter. Normally, the prize pool would be $80,000. Since the poker room guaranteed the prize pool would be at least $100k, it would have to add $20k to the prize pool.

This additional $20k is considered the overlay. All prizes in this tournament are 25% larger than they normally would be had there been no guarantee.

This represents great value for a player and most of the skilled poker players know that this is the way to go as you are getting much better odds for your money. Sometimes you may be against less then a hundred opponents, but have a chance of winning over two hundred times your stake.

The best overlays are usually found at small or new poker sites that have to use big guaranteed tournaments to attract new players. You should home in on these and scoop up the rewards that are on offer.
